Favorite book
Jane
Eyre. I love the part where Jane says, “I am not talking to you now through
the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh; it is my
spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the
grave, and we stood at God’s feet, equal—as we are!” (Yes, I’ve memorized that,
but I had to look up the punctuation—there are a lot of semicolons there.)
Oh, I’ve also spent quite a bit of
time with The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective Teens.
Favorite place to hang out in New
York City/Brooklyn
I live at the library—usually the
Riverside branch by school. Sometimes, I don’t want to go home.
Favorite word (hello, crossword
puzzles!)
Bildungsroman.
It means “coming-of-age novel.” I read a lot of those. I read a lot of
everything. When I typed this into Word, it told me I’d misspelled it when I
hadn’t. I love when I know a word and Word doesn’t.
Biggest dream
I want to be a speech therapist and
work with kids with problems, maybe even travel the world and help people.
Biggest fear
That I won’t make it out of here.
